These images are a selection of portraits of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust, taken by the voluntary project Portraits for Posterity. The project photographed more than 80 survivors during 2008 and 2009 to create a gallery of images, which will feature in exhibitions in Brighton, London and Manchester to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January 2010. www.portraitsforposterity.com
Trude Levi, born in 1924, was deported from Hungary to Auschwitz in 1944. After liberation she moved to Britain, where she worked as a librarian and archivist.
