These images are a selection of portraits of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust, taken by the voluntary project Portraits for Posterity. The project photographed more than 80 survivors during 2008 and 2009 to create a gallery of images, which will feature in exhibitions in Brighton, London and Manchester to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January 2010. www.portraitsforposterity.com
Lucyna Hyman was born in 1933 in Poland, and was interned with her family in the Tomaszow ghetto. She came to London in 1945 with the children's transport organised by Rabbi Schonfeld, and later worked as a medical secretary.
