This week sees the launch of It's My Life, a book featuring the stories of 25 men and women with spinal injuries compiled by the charity Aspire. Athletes, artists, teachers, parents, dancers and travellers tell their stories, and a selection appear in this gallery.

Portraits of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust
These images are a selection of portraits of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust, taken by the voluntary project Portraits for Posterity. The project photographed more than 80 survivors during 2008 and 2009 to create a gallery of images, which will feature in exhibitions in Brighton, London and Manchester to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January 2010. www.portraitsforposterity.com
